THE DIVERSITY OF THE ARTS AND THE MIXED MEDIA OF OUDIN GILLES to be discovered at the Galerie le Cube Vernet in Avignon

Élise Oudin Gilles is a woman and an entire artist who enthusiastically engages in each of her projects and does not hesitate to multiply the works and artistic techniques. At the start of his career, mainly in haute-couture, Oudin Gilles painted dresses, decorated catwalks, assisted a master embroiderer, developed a range of porcelain ... A visual artist, she creates stained-glass windows for the Saint-Maclou church in Conflans-Sainte Honorine and the Saint-Martin-d'Argentine chapel. Soprano, she sings Bach alongside Grand corps Malade. A pedagogue, she transmits her passions to students in textile design and applied arts. Painter, the paintings of Élise Oudin Gilles multiply layers in mixed techniques.

Oudin Gilles seems to never have enough arts to her bow and, for eight years, lives in San Francisco: she perfected herself in painting, engraving, screen printing and taught plastic arts there. His influences give pride of place to American artists, such as Basquiat, Cy Twombly but also street art, in particular through urban tags; she claims urban graphic designers and travel diaries as sources of inspiration. Élise Oudin Gilles will come back filled with urban landscapes, which will become a major theme of her paintings.

ABSTRACT URBAN ART BY OUDIN GILLES exhibited at the Galerie le Cube Vernet in Avignon

The key themes of Élise Oudin Gilles are urban horizons and graphic reveries. It is therefore very logical that she creates in mixed media on paper equally mixed paintings, intimately linking matte photo prints, in black and white, representing elements of town planning, with abstract paintings in touches of color, letters. , symbols and geometric shapes; then, in an apparently irrepressible movement, the photograph goes out of its frame and erases its limits. If the work of Oudin Gilles feeds on the banal, it sublimates it to the point of totally capturing the gaze of the amateur or lover of abstract art: vertiginous, the images mingle with it as if through the mist on the windows of a train, permanent and witnesses of the time which has passed, passes, will pass, imperturbable; it is this time in which the painter suspends one of the fragments, seized and questioned.

Collectors may have to travel to discover the work of Oudin Gilles in exhibitions and fairs: France, Europe, United States, Singapore, the tireless artist captures each adventure head-on.

Élise Oudin Gilles also carries out commissions, so her paintings can be seen in hotels, law firms, private or public companies.
