About the artwork:
Original and unique ceramic sculpture by the artist DEMEESTER, in a soft, uniform old pink, with an organic shape that evokes movement. The piece seems to twist and fold onto itself. The surfaces appear slightly textured. The overall composition recalls a dance of abstract forms, without rigid angles, with a subtle sense of balance.

The forms arise naturally from her intuition, as if guided by the clay.
Liliane Demeester, born in Bruges in 1958, is a contemporary ceramist renowned for her organic and lively sculptures. She trained at the Academy of Fine Arts. Her creations are inspired by natural forms—water, wind, bodies, plants, rocks—and arise from a subtle balance between control and spontaneity. The matte finish of her pieces highlights the depth of colors and the play of light, giving each artwork a unique and poetic presence.
Through her layering techniques and intuitive approach to clay, Liliane Demeester brings moving forms to life, which seem to shape themselves. Present on the European art scene for several decades, she exhibits in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and in Avignon at the e Cube Vernet gallery, where her work continues to inspire artists and collectors.
