About the artist:

Golnaz Afraz, born in Tehran in 1981, is an Iranian painter living in Strasbourg, France. She studied painting at Azad University of Tehran, then obtained two master’s degrees in visual arts: the first at Tarbiat Modarres University in Tehran in 2007, and the second at the University of Strasbourg in 2011. Her work is characterized by color play, layered forms, and instantaneous compositions, offering a multifaceted vision of reality. She won the Saatchi Art Showdown prize in 2015 with her work “The Reflection of the World.”
