Original artwork by the artist Elia Pagliarino, created using a double-firing technique of Georgia O'Keeffe, a major modernist painter of the 20th century, settled in Abiquiù, New Mexico, after the death of her partner, photographer Alfred Stieglitz (for whom she was the muse for more than 350 portraits). Captivated by the light and immensity of this desert, she painted this epic landscape tirelessly, considering it a place that made her “feel like a rocket.” O'Keeffe translated the intangible that inhabited her into abstract form, believing that it most accurately expressed her feelings about the “prodigious” space between the ground and the sky.

Elia Pagliarino is a French visual artist born in 1967, whose work explores the notions of identity, appearance, and collective memory. Coming from a background marked by diversity and disability, she draws inspiration from ethnology, biology, and popular culture to create works that combine drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. After a career in graphic design and scenography, she has devoted herself fully to art since 2014.

Her work stands out through collections such as Balises©, ceramics preserving life stories, and Contes Sauvages, large drawings depicting an exuberant human bestiary. Winner of the Pure Art Prize in 2017, she continues to explore new artistic forms from her studio in the Aude region.
