Born in Lyon in 1958, Daniel Airam began by studying graphic arts before working in the printing industry from 1975 to 1982. From then on, he devoted himself entirely to printmaking, taking part in numerous exhibitions in France, Europe, the United States and Japan.

Over time, he integrated painting, sculpture and video into his practice, broadening his means of expression. Today, his work revolves around a reflection on the image and the sign, exploring their forms and meanings.
