About the artwork:
Original artwork by the artist Elia Pagliarino, created using a double-firing process, this Balise is inspired by the philosopher Aristotle, born in Stagira, Greece. He was the first to describe the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence in the depths of the sea, combining wonder with scientific discovery.

Elia Pagliarino is a French visual artist born in 1967 whose work explores the notions of identity, appearance and collective memory. Coming from an environment marked by diversity and disability, she draws inspiration from ethnology, biology and popular culture to create works combining drawing, sculpture and ceramics. After a career in graphic design and scenography, she has devoted herself entirely to art since 2014.
