Original artwork by the artist Elia Pagliarino, made using a double firing process, this Balise is inspired by the cultural continuity and joint management of Kakadu National Park, an Australian treasure co-managed by its Aboriginal custodians.

About the artist:

Elia Pagliarino is a French visual artist born in 1967, whose work explores the notions of identity, appearance, and collective memory. Coming from a background marked by diversity and disability, she draws inspiration from ethnology, biology, and popular culture to create works that combine drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. After a career in graphic design and scenography, she has devoted herself fully to art since 2014.
