About the artwork: Roxie by Olivier Duhamel
Roxie by Olivier Duhamel: original artwork by the artist, a female torso in acrylic, made with his laminated layering technique and set on a round white base. Its fine white and violet layers draw undulating lines that follow the curves of the body and play with light, enhancing the fluidity and sensuality of the silhouette. The work demonstrates his mastery of form and his unique artistic approach. Discover Roxie by Olivier Duhamel at Galerie Le Cube Vernet in Avignon.

About the Artist:
«Through my creations, I focus on trying to capture the beauty and sensuality of my study subjects. »
Born in France in 1957, Olivier Duhamel is a French figurative sculptor who settled in New Zealand in 1987. After many travels across Europe, Central Africa, and the South Pacific, he established himself on Waiheke Island near Auckland, where he lives and works.
Passionate about human morphology, Duhamel perfectly masters the representation of the body, expressed through bronze, wood, and acrylic sculptures. He is particularly recognized for his innovative laminated sculpture technique, where laser-cut wood or resin panels are manually assembled to create detailed, expressive three-dimensional forms.
