PAGLIARINO
Born in 1967 and based in the south of France, Elia Pagliarino has devoted herself fully to her art since 2014, after a career as a graphic designer and set designer. Her work, between drawing and ceramics, shapes hybrid, anthropomorphic forms that question identity and memory, as in her series "Balises," clay belly-sculptures containing life stories gathered from around the world. Winner of the Pure Art Prize in England and the Fondation Peugeot drawing prize in France, she presents her world at Galerie Le Cube Vernet, in Avignon.

Biographie
Elia Pagliarino, Contemporary Drawing and Ceramics | Galerie Le Cube Vernet
A committed French visual artist, Elia Pagliarino is presented by Galerie Le Cube Vernet in Avignon. Working between drawing and ceramics, she shapes hybrid forms that question identity, memory and human evolution.
A Visual Artist from the South of France
Born in 1967, Elia Pagliarino lives and works in the Aude region of southern France. Trained in visual and applied arts in Toulouse, she began her career as a graphic designer and scenographer before devoting herself fully to her art from 2014. Her work sensitively explores identity, memory and human evolution in a post-natural era.
Between Human, Animal and Plant Life
Her work explores the links between humans and their environment, drawing on ethnographic, naturalist and mythological inspirations. She creates hybrid, often anthropomorphic forms in which the human body merges with organic or technological elements. Her works question the transformation of living beings in a constantly changing world.
A World Between Drawing and Ceramics
Through a multidisciplinary approach, Elia Pagliarino uses painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics to give form to her ideas. Her project "Emerging Species" is emblematic: a series of chimeric figures, part human, part machine, designed to survive in a world facing ecological and social crisis. Each creation becomes a visual story, a poetic and political manifesto.
The "Beacons" Series: a Memory-Based, Participatory Practice
Among her works, the "Beacons" series (Balises) stands out: clay belly-shaped sculptures containing paper scrolls with life stories gathered in different countries. Both intimate and universal, these pieces embody the transmission of collective memory and the power of shared human experience. The artist thus creates witness-objects, carrying meaning and social connection.
An Award-Winning Artist
Elia Pagliarino's work is regularly shown in contemporary art galleries in France. It has won the Pure Art Prize for ceramics in England and the Peugeot Foundation Drawing Prize in France. Her work appeals to collectors and institutions drawn to an ethical and committed approach.
